U.S. Army WWI, Gas mask in bag, Mask is soft, tube dry. Comes in a 1917 dated bag with anti-dimming compound and Instruction book. Issued to a Machine Gun member of 26. Infantry Div. on 21. Aug.1918 so he could have been in the Battle of Saint-Mihiel

This one seems to be the first model "corrected British mask" ( which is identified by the wide bracket guarding the exhale valve. This mask has celluloid lenses and the early yellow filter canister)
